Near Mint is a dark fantasy roguelike deckbuilder where every card in your deck is torn into fragments. History
Near Mint began in September 2024 as a 72-hour game jam prototype by developers at Duper Games, the French indie studio behind Day of the shell . The card-fragment recomposition idea resonated on itch.io, drawing thousands of downloads and prompting the team to explore it further.After shipping Day of the Shell in October 2025, co-founders Simon Gigant, Lucas Princé, and Ryan Hervé committed to bringing Near Mint to life as a full production. Development has been underway since, with an active demo on Steam.
Features
Torn Cards — The cards you collect are ripped into pieces. Recompose them each turn to create unique effects, forge powerful combos, and adapt to every threat your foes present.
Dark Fantasy — The Gods have withdrawn. The world aches but does not die, locked in perpetual agony. Find your path and prevail against its many threats — either to restore the illusory Mint, or simply to survive.
Forsaken Heroes — Play as fallen champions, each with a unique deck, a distinct playstyle, and a quest for closure. Guide them through their stories as they lend you their strength.

Duper
Duper Games is an independent French studio founded by veteran developers in 2023. Based in Montpellier, the team focuses on tightly designed genre games with strong roguelike and strategic elements. Their first title, Day of the Shell, released in October 2025.
